Armed with my Ricoh GR and my mind set on some street photography I decided to take the train up to the city of Dordrecht hoping to find some interesting people and situations to capture.
The thing is though when one is hoping for something he usually ends up with nothing.
Today really looked like one of those days. Until, after a final stroll back to the train station I stumbled upon this skatepark. Unequipped for some real action shooting I was forced to think a bit outside the box. A quick walk around the park and there it was, a swirling arrow between two walls leading into the park. From the corner of my eye I see this skateboarder approaching. Now don’t hesitate I hear myself say. The GR is quickly aligned with the arrow waiting for the crossing…and SNAP! Day has been made.
